Ana and Marta run into each other by chance in the lobby of the Eugenio Espejo hospital in Quito, Ecuador.
| Ana (A): ¡ Hola , Marta! Qué tal? | Hello Marta. How are you? | | Marta (M): Bien , gracias . ?Por qué estás aquí ? | Good, thanks. Why are you here? | | A: Para visitar a Carlos. Está enfermo . | To visit Carlos. He is sick. | | M: ¡Qué pena! ¿Qué tiene? | Oh god. What does he have? | | A: No sé, pero es nada serio. | I don't know. But, it's nothing serious. | | M: ¿No es serio? Entonces , ¿por qué está en el hospital ? | Nothing serious? But why is he in the hospital then? | | A: Porque es un hombre muy raro y un poco exagerado. Pero me gusta Carlos y voy a comprar una tarjeta para él. | Because he is a weird guy. But I like him and will buy a card for him. | | M: Buena idea . Yo también quiero comprar algo para él. | Good idea . I, too, want to buy something for him. | |
