Always answer the following question with 'não' (no). Thereby, note that 'não' is usually used twice in the answering statement: First at the beginning meaning 'no' and then again before the verb meaning 'not'.

In this second exercise on this page, we want to repeat again the different usages of 'ser' and 'estar'. Remember that 'ser' was used to characterize people (job, nationality, etc..)? Whereas 'estar' was used whenever you talk about the location of someone or something. In the following sentences, use the correct forms of wither 'ser' or 'estar'.

Eu + ser/estar + de Washington.
Eu sou de Washington.
