Gutteral twill - Letter R

I have an Austrian friend that produces a gutteral twill that sounds very clean and not gurgled. She said it come from below the "Adam's Apple". I am having trouble with this twill. I can easily do a Spanish twill with the tongue and a French twill from the back of the throat. I know German people will still understand me if I use my English "R" or a Spanish twilled "R", but I would love to sound like my friend. I do know that different regions of Germany have different "R" sounds. My lower gutteral twill that I try sounds like I have way too much saliva... I just can't seem to do better. Does anybody have any suggestions?
