Review: Lesson 5Are you afraid you could forget the content and grammar from the last lesson? Now you have the chance to repeat it through the exercises on this page here.Exercise Can you tell the time on the clocks and watches shown below in German? Example: ![]() Es ist zehn vor zwei.
Exercise In the following sentences, change the position of the information of time (highlighted in blue). If the information of time is at the beginning of the sentence, put it in the middle. If the information of time is in the middle of the sentence, put it up front. While doing so, remember the rules about the word order in a sentence with an information of time. Example: Um viertel nach acht wäscht mein Bruder die Wäsche. Mein Bruder wäscht um viertel nach acht die Wäsche. OR: Mein Bruder wäscht die Wäsche um viertel nach acht.
For the next exercise: Remember that when you use reflexive verbs and the information of time is in the middle of the sentence, you have to put the information of time behind the reflexive pronoun. You can look up this rule on page 8 of the previous lesson. Exercise The following sentences are randomly scrabled. Figure out from the capitalization, which words go to the beginning of the sentence. Also please give a reason for the particular order you picked in each case. Example: um acht Uhr - mich - rasiere - Ich Ich rasiere mich um acht Uhr. 1) erkältet - Maike - immer - sich
![]() 2) verspätest - jeden Morgen - Du - dich
![]() 3) Morgens - sich - sie - wäscht
![]() 4) Sie - umarmen - gerade - sich
![]() 5) ich - Deutsch (German) - lerne - Jeden Tag
