Repeating everythingAs usually, we want to wrap up now, what we have learned so far and repeat the most important messages from this lesson: (a) irregular verbs (different classes), (b) some new regular verbs, and (c) food- and drinking-related vocabularies.Let's start with the irregular verbs. There were four classes of irregular verbs, remember? 1) sein (to be) 2) verbs irregular in all singular forms (most auxiliaries; e.g. müssen, wollen, haben, etc...) 3) verbs with stem change from e->i (e.g. essen) or e->ie (e.g. sehen) 4) verbs with stem change from a->ä (e.g. fahren, schlafen, etc...) The verbs of the second class change stems and are otherwise irregular for all singular forms (ich, du, er/sie/es). The verbs from the third and fourth class only change their stem in the "du" and the "er/sie/es" forms. They are regular in the "ich" form. Exercise Complete the following sentences by putting in the correct form of the irregular verbs given in parentheses. Example: Heute Abend ____(to want) ich am Computer arbeiten.
