The German speaking countries

The map below shows the three major German-speaking countries in Europe: Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Additionally, there are small regions in Italy (north), France (east) and Belgium (east), where German is the first spoken language. Two smaller countries, Luxemburg (between Belgium, France, and Germany) and Liechtenstein (between Switzerland and Austria) have German speaking populations as well.
